Our History
In July 1948, Wallace Ryan Price and his wife, Dorothy started construction on a two story building on Green Street in Lewisburg, Ky. that would become Price Funeral Home. In January 1949 Price Funeral Home opened.
On January 1, 1961 Wallace Ryan Price and his son Wallace Bryson (Buddy) Price formed a partnership. This partnership stayed in existence until Wallace Ryan Price's death on November 2, 1981.
On January 1, 1985, Wallace Bryson (Buddy) Price and his son, Michael Bryson Price formed a partnership. This partnership remained until January 1, 1993, at which time they incorporated Price Funeral Home.
On May 1, 2022, Buddy and Bryson sold the Corporation to employees Jason Rolley and Will McCormick. Jason, having grown up in funeral service, had been an employee since 1991. Will, being married to Buddy’s granddaughter, Courtney (neé Cropper) had been an employee since 2016. Both men have spent their entire funeral service careers with Price Funeral Home, and are determined to keep up the standards that have been set for over 75 years.
Since 1948 we have remained locally owned. By remaining independently owned, we are committed to provide you with an affordable, quality service. Price Funeral Home prides itself on being Logan County’s longest-standing funeral home, as well as Logan County’s only veteran-owned funeral home.
