Wendy Leagh Hammer

Wendy Hammer, 46 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at her home in Russellville, Kentucky. She was born Tuesday, June 3, 1975 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the daughter of Steve Gower and Wanda Jessup Gower (Terry), who survive. She was the wife of Steve Hammer, who also survives. She was a billing coordinator for Lifepoint Health Systems and was a member of Stuart's Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as a youth leader and song leader. She was also very active in Relay for Life, loved to travel, and, above all, spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband, Wendy is survived by her daughters, Jayden Hammer of Russellville, KY and Rylee Hammer of Russellville, KY; her sister, Stephanie Hoop (Ron) of West Haven, UT; and her grandmother, Georgia Belle Jessup of Russellville, KY. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. Interment will be in Stuarts Chapel Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky. Visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
