Virginia L. Shoemake, 72 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky. She was born on Thursday, June 29, 1939 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Travis and the late Bertha Travis. She was the wife of the late Harvey Shoemake. She was a homemaker. Surviving are sons, Stevie Shoemake of Lewisburg, KY, Billy Shoemake of Hodgenville, KY and L. H. Shoemake of Cincinnati, OH, daughters, Brenda Williams of Russellville, KY, Sue Burchett of Russellville, KY, Liz Carter of Russellville, KY, Lucy Roberts of Lewisburg, KY, Amanda Shoemake and Betty Ashby of Russellville, KY, brothers, Jackie Travis of Owensboro, KY and Darrell Travis of Russellville, KY, sisters, Joyce Ann Dukes of Dawson Springs, KY and Wilma Dean Mann of Crofton, KY; 25 grand children; 3 great grand children. She was predeceased by sons, Terry Shoemake and Jerry Shoemake. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Bro. David Shoemake officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Rosewood, KY.
