Thomas Dewey Wood, 67 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at his home in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born on Sunday, October 29, 1944 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank Wood and the late Viola Powell Wood. He was the husband of Barbara Wilcox Wood who survives. He was employed by Nelson Co Of Ky. as a supervisor. He was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church. Surviving are daughter-in-law, Debbie Wood of Lewisburg, KY,; step daughters, Teresa Aaron (Jon) of Auburn, KY, Terrie Lawson (Pete) of Russellville, KY; and Tina Powell (John) of Grayson, GA; step son, James Newberry (Christy) of Franklin, KY; brothers, Floyd Wood of Erin, TN, Gaylen Wood of Lewisburg, KY and Roy Wood of Lewisburg, KY,; half sister, Edith McElwain of Russellville, KY and half brother, Pressley Guffy of Lewisburg, KY; 5 grand children, 2 great grand children, 11 step grand children and 1 step great grand child. He was predeceased by son, Tony Wood. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. Interment will be in Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
