Shirley Ruth Grayson Ballard

Shirley Ruth Grayson Ballard, 78 of Lewisburg, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born Friday, January 26, 1940, the daughter of the late Vernon Rhea Grayson and the late Stella Brady Grayson. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church and the Gideons Auxiliary. Shirley enjoyed her life as a housewife and helping to take care of children and cooking. Shirley leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Owen David Ballard and son, James Ballard of Sharon Grove, KY, daughters, Lorrie Hopper -(David) of Russellville, KY, Pam Butler of Pleasant View, TN and Vickie Hughes - (Scott) of Eubank, KY, brother, Duane Grayson of Central City, KY, sister, Elaine Grise of Lewisburg, KY, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grand children. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Mindy Hopper and four brothers and four sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg, KY with Bro. Donnie Blick and Bro, Tom Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 4:00PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
