Samuel "Sam" Lee Smith, 70 of Crofton, Kentucky died on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, Kentucky. He was born Thursday, June 20, 1946 in Drakesboro, Kentucky, the son of the late Howard Smith and the late Irene Kittinger Taylor. He was the husband of Mary Hart Smith who survives. He was a retired surveyor with the State Highway Department. Surviving are sons, Brett Smith of Crofton, KY and Carlos Rivera of CA, daughters, Melissa Hudnall of Russellville, KY, Michelle Jones of Dunmor, KY and Kathy Lynette Jackson of Watervliet, MI, sisters, Juanita Edwards of Bremen, KY and Isadora "Dodie" Jane Evitts of Dunmor, KY; 13 grand children; 4 great grand children. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. The family will receive friends after 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky. The family has chosen cremation after the service.
