Ruth Pauline Smith

Ruth Pauline Coursey Smith, age 90 of Nashville, TN, formerly of the Spa Community died July 2, 2012 in Nashville. She graduated from the Nashville Business College and worked at the Baptist Sunday School Board. She was a member of Lockeland Baptist Church since 1955. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vick Smith and parents, Jack and Eva Coursey. Survivors include two daughters; Vickie Russell (George) and Kathy Ruskin (Late Don Ruskin), grandchildren; Matt Ruskin (Jill), Heather Hesson (Jay) and Jonathan Russell, great grandchild; Jack Logan Hesson, sisters; Martha Wright and Mary Nelle Noe (Charles Mac), brother; Danny Coursey (Shirley), sister-in-law; Wanda Coursey and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Coursey. She was a devoted Christian who taught her children and grandchildren the importance of loving God. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Elk Lick Baptist Church from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery.
