Roger Johnson

Roger Johnson, 57 of the Anderson Store Rd., Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born Monday, November 12, 1951 in Logan Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Albert J. "Red" Johnson and the late Bulina Thomas Johnson. He was the husband of the late Martha Van Meter Johnson for 28 years. He was employed by Sensus for 39 years as a Material Handler. Roger was a christian and attended the Guptons Grove Baptist Church. Roger loved his family, grandkids, his co-workers, football, basketball, baseball and Nascar. He especially loved watching his grandkids play any sport. Surviving are long time companion and best friend, Marilyn Hughes of Lewisburg, son, Daniel Shane Johnson and wife Melissa of Russellville, KY, daughter, Stephanie Hughes of Lewisburg, KY; 8 grand children Zack, Miranda, Dewight and Kirsten Johnson, Alyssa and Chelsea Gordon, Kenzie Castile and Eden Chenault. He was predeceased by son, Jonathan "Zeb" Johnson, brothers, Billy Johnson, Clemmie Johnson and Rocky Johnson, sister, Carolyn Gilliam. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Bro. Chris Skipworth officiating. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, KY. The family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
