Octavia Page Smith

Octavia Page Smith, 91 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Kentucky. She was born Monday, August 23, 1920 in Logan County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late John Page and the late Nannie Hildabrand Page. She was the wife of the late James Smith. She retired from Lewisburg School as a cook for approximately 15 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She participated in Womens Missionary Union (Mt. Pleasant Church). She was a volunteer at Logan Memorial Hospital and also a volunteer at Russellville Health Care. Surviving are son, Gary Dale Smith - (Brenda Glee) of Albany, KY, daughter, Brenda Sue Hazell of Lewisburg, KY; grand children, Karen Williams of Louisville, KY and Tiffani Soldwisch of Farmington, MI; 2 great grand children. She was predeceased by brothers, Joe Henry Page, Lincoln Page and James Page, sisters, Dura Earl Gibson and Mary Catherine Sharp. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Ronnie Forrest and Rev. Joe Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
