Nolvis Harris

Nolvis Harris of Lewisburg, KY died Nov. 6, 2016 at Bremen, KY. He was born Feb. 8, 1922 at Duncan Ridge, the son of Rhea Harris and Minnie Johnson Harris. He was married to the late Mary Agnes Harris for 66 years. Mr. Harris was a member of Beechland Baptist Church and a World War II veteran. He was employed as a farmer, oil field worker and machinist. He will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, sense of humor and devotion to his family. Surviving are a son, Ron Harris – (Barbara) of Russellville, KY, daughters, Carolyn Arnold – (Durwood) of Central City, KY and Sue Taylor –(Gary) of Bowling Green, KY, a brother, Rev. Thurmon Harris of Madisonville, KY and a sister, Mildred Gibbs of Tahlequah, OK. 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 7 step great-great grandchildren. Mr. Harris was predeceased by sisters, Louvernia Penuel and Anita Jo Whittaker. The funeral service will be held at Price Funeral Home, Inc. 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, KY 42256 at 11:00AM on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016 with the Rev. Thurmon Harris and Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiating. Interment will be in the Elk Lick Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends after 4:00PM on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to Baptist Health Hospice.
