Marvin Willis Sumner, 98 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Monday, October 31, 2011, at his residence in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born Saturday, November 30, 1912 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, He was the son of the late Jess Sumner and the late Ohma Gaston Sumner. He was the husband of the late Hazel Harper Sumner. He was a retired truck driver for the Lewisburg Planing Mill. He served in the Air Force. He was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Veteran D.A.V. and also a lifelong member of the 86 Fighter Bomber Group. Surviving are daughter, Rena Blackford and husband Willie of Russellville, KY; Grandsons David Blackford and wife Gina of Mammoth Springs, AR., Daniel Blackford and wife Sandy of Dunmor, KY. great grandaughters, Megan Blackford of Russellville, Ky. and Jennifer Drake of Dunmor, KY., and great grandsons, Chyle Blackford of Lewisburg, KY., Chad Blackford of Lewisburg, KY. and Josh Drake of Dunmor, KY. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E.Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville, KY. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
