Marlene Martin Whitson-McCormick, 82 of Glendora, California passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home in Lewisburg, Kentucky.
She was born Monday, September 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Lennie Martin and the late Audrey Slaughter Martin. She was the wife of the late Ben Whitson. After Mr. Whitson's passing, she was the wife of the late Peter McCormick.
She was a hospital admin at Ross Perot Enterprises and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Surviving are Two Daughters, Tia Sommers of Glendora, CA, Dawn Mellon of Glendora, CA; Three grandchildren, Michelle Sommers of Covina, CA, Douglas Mellon of Atlanta, GA, Nathaniel Olmos of Glendora, CA; Two great-grandchildren, Darien Jones and Aaliyah Jones both of Covina, CA.
In addition to her first and second husband, Marlene is preceded in death by her brother, Milford Martin.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Lewisburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 141 Church Street, Lewisburg; with Bro. Gary Ball officiating. There will be a meal to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
