Lois Earl "Farmer" Brown died peacefully in his home on Duncan Ridge March 2. He was 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Hezzie Ray Brown, mother, Verdie Pogue, sisters Joyce Hinton and Wanda Belcher, nephew Roger Belcher, and niece Carrie Belcher.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Faye Waggoner Brown and his loving family members Clay (Paula) Waggoner, Sandy (Sam) Ing and Nena (Mark) Francies, Will (Brandi) Francies, the Waggoner family and nephews Lannie and Philip Hinton.
Farmer was a member of the Elk Lick Church where he was a member for 50 years. He worked at TVA as an electrician until his retirement in 1998 and served as a water commissioner for the Todd/Logan Water District for 41 years. Farmer loved the outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, pulling skiers on Lake Malone, or breeding Tennessee Walking Horses.
Services will be held at Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg, KY. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 11:00 until 2:00 with services officiated by Bro. Dale Hanson. Farmer will be laid to rest following services at Elk Lick Cemetery in Lewisburg.
