Lawrence Wade Mcgehee

Lawrence Wade McGehee, 92, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Lewisburg, Kentucky and Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Hospice of Southern KY in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He was born in Lewisburg on Tuesday, May 19, 1931, the son of the late Hustler Wade McGehee and Anna Ruth Jones McGehee. He was the husband of Rebecca Johnson McGehee of Bowling Green, who survives.

Lawrence was a Veteran of the US Air Force, honorably serving his country during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Lewisburg. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities, one of which included his garden. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

In addition to his wife, Lawrence is survived by a daughter, Vivian (George) Johnson of Bowling Green, Kentucky;son, Randy (Ryssa) McGehee of Prospect, Kentucky; Sister, Ruthie McGehee of Lewisburg, Kentucky; grandchildren, Grant Johnson, Stuart Johnson, Dustin McGehee, and Amber McGehee Billingsley; 13 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters Anna Bell Brooks and Mildred Coursey; brother, William Eldu McGehee.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located at 954 Stacker Street, Lewisburg, KY 42256; with Bro. Tim Nugent officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5:00 pm on Friday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg, KY 42256.

Visitation will also be held at 9:30 am on Saturday at the Church.
