Lannie Earl Jernigan, 79 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his home in Lewisburg, Kentucky. He was born Thursday, June 5, 1941 in Greenville, Kentucky, the son of the late Shellie Jernigan and the late Mable Foley Jernigan. He was the husband of Judy Mitchell Jernigan, who survives. He was a farmer and a boilermaker for TVA. He was also a member of the Lewisburg Masonic Lodge 324 F&AM and the Rizpah Shriners in Madisonville, KY. Lannie was also a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church in Lewisburg. Also surviving are son, Lannie David Jernigan -(Stacey) of Lewisburg, KY, daughter, Kim Richardson -(Johnny) of Russellville, KY, brother, Wendell Jernigan of Greenville, KY, sisters, Janice Grace of Greenville, KY and Betty Benningfield of Greenville, KY; grand children, James Paul Richardson of Russellville, KY, Kaitlyn Van Zile of St. Augustine, FL, Madison Jernigan of Lewisburg, KY, Cassidy Jernigan of Lewisburg, KY, Grace Richardson of Russellville, KY. He was predeceased by brothers, George Jernigan, Jewell Jernigan, Roy Jernigan, Gilbert Jernigan, Pete Jernigan, Howard Jernigan, Bobby Jernigan and Gene Jernigan, sisters, Myrtle Lofthouse, Lucy Ford and Hazel Webster. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Bro. Ronnie Forrest officiating. Interment will be in Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky. There will also be a Masonic Service at the funeral home immediately following the funeral service. Due to current mandates set forth by the Governor of Kentucky, there is an occupancy limit of 75 inside the funeral home facility, not including funeral home staff or officiating clergy. It is also required that a mask be correctly worn at all times while inside the facility. The family wishes to express their deepest understanding should anyone not feel comfortable attending.
