Kenneth Ray Johnson

Kenneth Ray Johnson, age 90, of Russellville, Ky passed on October 13, 2022 at his residence in Russellville, KY after a lengthy illness.

Kenneth was born in Logan County, Ky on September 5, 1932 and preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Colburn Johnson

and Elsie Pritchett Johnson. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Juanita Skipworth Johnson.

Kenneth held a bachelors degree in Agricultural Science from Western Kentucky University, a Masters Degree from

University of KY and a second Masters Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University. Kenneth had a 31 year

career teaching Vocational Agriculture at Hughes Kirk High School in Beechmont, KY. He was well loved by his students

and was often fondly greeted by a former student when he was out to eat or shop in the area. After retiring from teaching, he had a short career in real estate sales and insurance.

Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army for 2 years. During his time in the military, he was stationed in Washington D.C. where he served as a member of the National Honor Guard. Kenneth also received numerous awards for his excellent markmanship while serving and was a member of the All Army Rifle Team.

Kenneth was a faithful member of Myers Chapel United Methodist Church. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher at Myers Chapel for several years.

Kenneth is survived by one nephew, and several neices and one cousin. Kenneth also leaves behind a group of dedicated care givers, Rebecca, Julie, Paula, Linda, Anita, Torie, Kayla and Ruthie.

A graveside service will be held at Lewisburg Cemetery in Lewisburg, KY on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m with Bro. Brent Waltrip officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Price Funeral Home, Inc.
