Kenneth Herbert Saunders

Kenneth "Ken" Herbert Saunders, 76 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Friday, January 8, 2010, at his home in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born Sunday, August 20, 1933 in Coeur D Alene, Idaho, he was the son of the late Howard Saunders and the late Bessie True Saunders. He was the husband of Ann Bell Saunders of Russellville who survives. He was a retired truck driver for several local factories. He served as a 1SG in the Army from 1951 until 1973. He was a Veteran of Korea, and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are sons, Steve Saunders of Russellville, KY and Mark Saunders of Hopkinsville, KY, brother, Burrell Saunders of Payette, ID, sisters, Ruth Bell of Lewisburg, KY and Virginia Inman of Sandpoint, ID; 2 grand children; Jonathan Saunders of Auburn, Kyle Saunders of Russellville; 1 great grand child, Abigayle Saunders of Auburn, and a Foster family (LeGressley). He was predeceased by brother, George Saunders, sister, Sue Mitchell. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Kris Freeman, Rev. Gary Mitchell and Rev. Earl Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY. The family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
