Katherine (Lyons) Whitaker

Mrs. Katherine (Lyons) Whitaker, age 83, of Lewisburg, Ky., died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Mrs. Whitaker was a retired employee of Red Kap and was a member of Oak Forrest Baptist Church. She was also a member of Homemakers and a Foster Grandparent at Lewisburg School. She was the daughter of the late Carl Lyons and the late Essie Lyons. She was the wife of the late William Jessie Whitaker. She is survived by her Four Daughters, Mrs. Gerelda Stinson of Henderson, Ky. Mrs. Eldora Skipworth of Henderson, Ky. Mrs. Patricia Thom of Russellville, Ky. Mrs. Barbara Womack of Henderson, Ky. One Son, Mr. Gary Whitaker of Greenville, Ky. Three Sisters, Mrs. Magdalene White of Lewisburg, Ky. Mrs. Fae Shelton of Melvin, Ill. Mrs. Deltha (Sally) Pogue of Lansing, Ill. Three Brothers, Mr. Aldwin Lyons of Lewisburg, Ky. Mr. Rhea Lyons of Danville, Ill. Mr. Kenneth Lyons of Danville, Ill. Arrangements are being handled by Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St. - P.O. Box 299, Lewisburg, Ky., where the family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2005 and from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Visitation will also be held at Oak Forrest Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 11:00 AM until the funeral. Funeral service will be at Oak Forrest Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2005 , Rev. Tommy Sandlin, Rev. Mickey McPherson and Rev. David Morgan officiating.
