Joe Ray Brown

Joe Ray Brown, 73 of Sharon Grove, Kentucky died on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born Friday, May 1, 1936 in Logan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Buna Brown and the late Lena Porter Brown. He was the husband of Sue Spencer Brown who survives. He owned and operated Sharon Grove Feed Mill. He was a member of Mt. Sharon United Methodist Church. He was the 1st Fire Chief of the Sharon Grove Fire Deptartment. He served as Chief for a total of 17 years. He was a Charter member of the Sharon Grove Lions Club. Surviving are sons, Bobby Joe Brown - (Sharon) of Sharon Grove, KY and Mike Brown - (Marieca) of Bowling Green, KY; 3 grand children; Derek Brown, Nathaniel Brown and Benjamin Brown. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday , March 29, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Butch Hester officiating. Interment will be in Gant Cemetery, Sharon Grove, KY. The family will receive friends at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
