James "Jim" Meriman Rainwaters

James "Jim" Meriman Rainwaters, 89 of Elkton, Kentucky died on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Kentucky.
He was born Sunday, December 25, 1932, the son of the late Arlis Rainwaters and the late Golie Whitescarver Rainwaters. He was the husband of Frances Beacham Rainwaters of Elkton, KY, who survives.
Jim honorably served his country as a Boatswain's Mate in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, after which he worked as a rigger at the Jacksonville Naval Shipyard in Jacksonville, FL.
Also surviving are son, Kenneth Rainwaters; daughters, Joan Peacock of Brandon, FL and Candy Leedom of Hopkinsville, KY; brothers, Nevil Rainwaters of Dayton, OH and Bill Rainwaters -(Shirley) of Beaver Creek, OH; sister, Pat Oyer of Pontiac, IL; 29 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Pastor Easton Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in McPherson Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
