James Earl Williams

James Earl Williams, 79 of Elkton, Kentucky died on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born Tuesday, March 24, 1942, the son of the late Leslie Williams and the late Edith Wilson Williams. He was the husband of Evelyn Bryant Williams of Elkton, KY, who survives. James was a graduate of Todd Central High School, class of 1961. He was an electrician at TVA Paradise Fossil Plant for 23 1/2 years, where he retired from in 1999. He was a member of Sharon Grove Baptist Church in Sharon Grove, KY. He also served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon at Antioch Baptist Church in Lewisburg, KY. James also honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968, during which time he served in: Strategic Air Command 8th Air Force 484-450 Bomb Wing Bomb Group 1966 in Guam He volunteered his time doing mission work in Eastern Kentucky and loved to garden, play golf, building model planes, and watch both baseball and UK Basketball. Also surviving are son, Casey Williams-(Cindy) of Kirkmansville, KY; daughters, Charlotte Peterson-(John) of Lewisburg, KY and Tammy Givens-(Eddie) of Benton, KY; brother, Calvin Williams of Sharon Grove, KY; grandchildren, John Austin Peterson of Lewisburg, KY, Dylan Givens of Lexington, KY, Makayla Peterson of Lewisburg, KY, Brooklynn Givens of Benton, KY, Maddie Williams of Kirkmansville, KY, Abby Williams of Kirkmansville, KY; great grandchild, James Allen Peterson of Lewisburg, KY. James loved coaching his children and watching his grandchildren in sports; he was their biggest fan. He was predeceased by brother, Billy Joe Williams; sister, Dorothy Jean Williams. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church located at 7596 Duncan Ridge Road Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Bro. Ron Noffsinger officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky. There will also be visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church.
