Jack Dempsey Murphy

On Tuesday, June 29, 2021 Jack Dempsey Murphy passed away at his residence. Jack was the son of John William and Daisy (Doss) Murphy of Central City, KY. He served his country for twenty years in the U.S. Army. He also retired after eighteen years from the TVA Paradise Steam Plant. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Wanda June (Abbott) Murphy of Lewisburg, KY; sons, Reggie and Nelda Murphy of Lewisburg, KY, Gary and Patricia Murphy of Manitou, KY, and Roger and Jennifer Murphy of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Shaun Murphy of Bowling Green, KY, Sonya Hood of Leoma, TN, Nicholas Murphy of Shelbyville, KY, Amanda Kinsler of Petal, MS, Connelly Murphy of Chandler, IN, and Taylor Murphy of Bardstown, KY; also eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E Green Street, Lewisburg, KY 42256 with Bro. Tim Nugent and Bro. Ronnie Forrest officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, located on Mt. Pleasant Road, Lewisburg, KY 42256. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
