Helen M. Porter, 87 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at her residence. She was born Tuesday, October 23, 1928 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Eurie Scarbrough and the late Rachel Harper Scarbrough. She was the wife of Glenn Porter, of Lewisburg, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Also surviving are son, Rex Porter - (Diane) of Lewisburg, KY, brothers, Edwin Scarbrough - (Dorris) of Dickson, TN and Wilford Scarbrough -(Jerri) of Auburn, KY; 1 grand child, Cole Porter; 2 step grand children, Christa Yates - (Jon) of Auburn, KY and W.G. Brooks - (Chrissy Mead) of Lewisburg, KY 4 step great grand children, Jacob Brooks and Kolton Brooks of Lewisburg, KY and Natalie Yates of Auburn, KY and Haley Mead of Lewisburg, KY. She was also predeceased by brother, Lawrence Scarbrough. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Tim Nugent officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
