Gracie Mae Sumner

Gracie Mae Sumner, 92 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her residence. She was born Thursday, July 28, 1921 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Tom Kirby and the late Erdeen Jenkins Kirby. She was the wife of the late Carson Ray Sumner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving are son, Charles Sumner (Redha) of Lewisburg, KY, daughters, Linda Sue Chapman (Larry) of Lewisburg, KY and Lena Milam (Larry) of Bowling Green, KY, brother, Roy Kirby (Genevive) of Owensboro, KY, sister, Helen Daugherty; 14 grand children; 22 great grand children and 2 great great grand children. Also surviving are special care givers Hope Chapman and the Hospice of Southern KY and special friends, Darrell and Becky Skipworth and Jimmie Gilliam.. She was predeceased by son, Danny Sumner, brothers, Elmo Kirby, Robert Kirby and Ed Kirby. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Butler Co., KY.
