Edward Henry Schweers, 87 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Hospice Center of Southern Ky. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born Monday, June 2, 1924 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Edward Henry Schweers and the late Laura Belle Dorris Schweers. He was the husband of Joann Hancock Schweers of Lewisburg who survives. He was a self employed farmer and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was also involved with the following organizations: Lewisburg Lions Club Charter Member Logan County Board of Education Logan County Telephone Coop. Bd. of Directors Kentucky Colonel Surviving are son, Eddie Schweers- (Shannon) of Lewisburg, KY, daughters, Patricia Rocheford - (Richard) of Chantilly, VA and Sheila Burns of Lewisburg, KY; 5 grand children; 7 great grand children. Also surviving are a Niece, Laura Shumway of Reston, VA, and nephews, Bert Graham of Houston, TX and Mark Gibson of Ruston, LA. A Funeral service will be at 3:30 PM on Monday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located at 954 Stacker St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Rev. Joe Simmons and Rev. Roger Skipworth officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends after 12:30 PM on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 954 Stacker St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
