Edna Lou Sears

Edna Lou Sears, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on April 26, 2025, at Med Center Health in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born on July 1, 1946, in Lewisburg, Kentucky, to the late Roy Hinton and the late Edith Shelton Hinton.

Throughout her life, Edna dedicated herself to her work and family. She served as a checker at Carpenter Co. in Russellville, KY, where she became known for her dependable work ethic and friendly demeanor that brightened the days of those around her.

Edna was a cherished member of Stuart Chapel Church, where she found community and support throughout her life. Her faith was an integral part of who she was, guiding her in her roles as a mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her loving children: Stephanie Weaver and Duane of Franklin, KY; Elyse Brooks of Lewisburg, KY; Nichole Bibb and Kevin of Russellville, KY; and Chris Moore of Russellville, KY. Edna was a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Edna is survived by her brother, Wayne Hinton of Russellville, KY, who shared many cherished memories with her throughout their lives.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buddy” Sears; her sister, Nancy Hinton; and her brothers, Paul Bert Hinton and Joel Hinton. The bonds shared with her family were of paramount importance to her, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The viewing services for Edna will be held at Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg, KY. The first viewing is scheduled for April 28, 2025, after 4:00 PM, followed by a second viewing on April 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on the same day, April 29, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery.

Edna Lou Sears leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will resonate within their hearts forever. Her memory will continue to inspire those she cherished throughout her remarkable life.
