Dr. Roy Bryan Mcendre

Dr. Roy Bryan "Dr. Mac" McEndre, age 75, of Lewisburg, Ky., died Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Ky. Dr. McEndre was a physician in Lewisburg, Ky from 1958 until his retirement in 2003 and was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Medical Assoc., Ky. Medical Assoc., American Academy of Family Practitioners for 50 years and a Bd. Of Director at Lewisburg Banking Co. He Served as a Captain in the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, KY. from 1956-1958. His medical practice included making house calls, delivering babies in his office, suturing patients in his home, performing office procedures, making hospital rounds, medical missions in Central America, and living as a country doctor. He was the son of the late Roy McEndre, Sr. and the late Ruby (Marshall) McEndre. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Carol Ann (Costello) McEndre; Five Daughters, Mrs. Janie Wilhelmus of Nicholasville, Ky. Mrs. Nancy Powell of Greenville, Ky. Mrs. Peggy Weldon of Adairville, Ky. Mrs. Rhonda Dorris of Russellville, Ky. Mrs. Dana Emberton of Glasgow, Ky. Ten grandchildren He was also preceded in death by Two Sisters, Billie Hurd and Jane Dotson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St. - P.O. Box 299, Lewisburg, Ky., where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2005. Funeral service will be at Price Funeral Home Inc. at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2005 , Rev. Tom Lawhon and Rev. Troy Luttrell officiating.
