Doris Imogene Wells

Doris Imogene Wells, 98 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Friday, December 15, 2017, at the Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born Friday, July 4, 1919 in Butler Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Turner Barton and the late Aubrey Green Barton. She was the wife of the late Walker Wells. She was a homemaker, avid gardener and favored cook. She was a devoted sister and "Granny" to numerous nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of Green Ridge Baptist Church and served many years as church secretary. Survivors include several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Shirley Wyatt Barton of Claymore, Brenda Miller Barton and Faye Barton Boley, both of Russellville. She was predeceased by brothers, Howard Barton, Lyle Barton, Glyn Barton, Dale Barton, J.P. Barton, Larry Barton and Billy Barton, sisters, Helen Wells and Myra Wells.and half brother, Clyde Barton. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Green Ridge Baptist Church located at 7359 Highland Lick Road Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky and again after 11:00AM on Wednesday at the church.
