Donald Gean Thornberry

Donald Gean Thornberry, 76 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at his Residence in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born Friday, September 15, 1933 in Logan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Raymond Thornberry and the late Euva Lear Thornberry. He was formerly employed by Logan County School System as a school teacher. Mayor and member of Lewisburg City Council in the 1970's. Member of BRADD Board and was instrumental in providing Lewisburg with its sewage system and water treatment plant. Scoutmaster in Lewisburg for many years. Surviving are son, Stephen (Steve) Thornberry - (Ira) of Angeles City Philippines, , Twin brother, Ronald D. Thornberry - (Jean) of Lewisburg, KY, sister, Lila Edwards - (Charles) of Russellville, KY; 3 grand children, Elizabeth Thornberry of Queens, NY; SPC Andrew Thornberry of Italy; Christian Jay Thornberry of Angeles City, Philippines. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with the Bro. Nick Stamps and Jerry Austin officiating. Interment will be in Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E.
