Carolyn Stearns Luttrell, age 73, of Lewisburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at Bowling Green Medical Center.
Born on May 23, 1951, in Albany, Kentucky, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Coleman Stearns and the late Thelma Mae Tallent Stearns. Her life was marked by a profound love for family and the simple joys of life. Carolyn enjoyed playing card games, fishing, thrifting, and riding the trike. Her favorite moments were spent playing with her great-grandbabies.
A member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church since 2020, Carolyn found comfort and joy in her faith and loved listening to gospel music. Her spiritual life was a testament to her deep faith and generous spirit.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Chad) Hardison of Lewisburg, KY, and Julie Lawrence of Louisville; one sister, Phillis Hay of Albany, KY; five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Maegann (Ryan) Basham, Shelby (Creede) Morgan, Gabriel (Sandi) Lawrence, Jay Hardison, and Jonah Lawrence; and three beautiful great-granddaughters, Thea, Tovi, and Reya. She also leaves behind her loving companion, Ronnie Whitescarver.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Steve and Stan Stearns.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, ferocity, and loyalty will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 East Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Bro. Geoff Lacefield officiating. Internment will be at Aaron's Chapel Church Cemetery located at 1561 State Highway 734 in Albany, Kentucky at 4:00 pm.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of the service on Friday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
