Carl Armstrong, age 79 of Clarkesville, GA died on August 1, 2009 at his residence. He is the son of the late, Pearl and Laura Hayes Armstrong. He was married to Sara Armstrong who survives. He was an Army Veteran and was retired from General Motors. Also surviving are daughters, Patricia S. Doherty of Connecticut, Julie Bilbrey of Ohio, Jessie Kanzler of Indiana and Jill McClanahan of Texas, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren A graveside service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday August 8, 2009 at the Fitzhugh Cemetery on the Peach Orchard Rd., Lewisburg, KY.
