Bessie Mae Whittinghill, 94 of Stacker St. Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Inc. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born Wednesday, May 5, 1915 in Logan Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Joe Nickens and the late Ida Adler Nickens. She was the wife of the late Clarence Whittinghill, Sr.. She had worked in the old Logan County Hospital Laundry. She had also worked in the M&H Cleaners and at the Modern Maid Dry Cleaners. She was the oldest member of Post Oak Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Clarence William Whittinghill, Jr. of Lewisburg, KY, Clifford Ray Whittinghill - (Sandy) of Cadiz, KY, James Henry Whittinghill - (Vickie) of Quality, KY and Jewell Edward Whittinghill of Cadiz, KY, daughters, Wanda Lee Walker of Olmstead, KY, Brenda Faye Moseley - (Jerry) of Olmstead, KY, Joyce Marie Henderson of Russellville, KY, Patsy Jo Boisseau - (Eugene) of Olmstead, KY, Shirley Ann Oberhausen - (Bill) of Russellville, KY and Cynthia Ann Sharp - (Ricky) of Adairville, KY, sisters, Susie Carroll of Greenville, KY and Christine Insco of Lewisburg, KY; 43 grand children; 94 great grand children; 66 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Ronald Dee Whittinghill and Donald Lee Whittinghill, daughter, Bettie Louise Poole, brothers, James Nickens, William Franklin Nickens and Jesse Garfield Nickens, sister, Daisy Randolph. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 . Interment will be in Cedar Graveyard, Lewisburg, KY.
