Albert O. Ayres, 74 of the Jackie Dukes Rd. Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Kentucky. He was born Thursday, March 28, 1935 in Alexandria, Virginia , the son of the late Dennis Ayres and the late Helen Oneal Ayres. He was the husband of the late Virginia Ford Ayres. He was a former professor at Georgetown University - Washington, DC. He was a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Dennis Ayres of Lewisburg, KY and Jeff Ayres of Leesburg, VA, brother, Dennis Ayres of Gainesville, VA; 6 grand children; 3 great grand children. He was also preceded in death by a step son, Terry Lee Graham. There will be a memorial service on Friday May 10, 2009 at 5:00 PM at the Pleasant Union General Baptist Church.
