James "Jim" Welborn Southerland, 84 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on Monday, November 23, 1925 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Fred Southerland and the late Alyene Welborn Southerland. He was the husband of Annis Johnson Southerland who survives. He was an Auto Parts Salesperson with A & J Supplies. He served in the Marine Corps. He was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Laurie McCarty of Russellville, KY and Cynthia Taylor of Russellville, KY, brother, John Southerland of Russellville, KY; 5 grand children; 4 great grand children. He was predeceased by son, Gary Southerland, daughter, Daphne Mohon. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Post Oak Baptist Church with the Dr. Lloyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY. The family will receive friends beginning 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky. The body will Lie-In-State on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 beginning at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Post Oak Baptist Church in Russellville.
